Spiced Apple Compote
Something sweet to brighten a dull afternoon... warm apple compote with winter spices, topped with pumpkin seeds, sheets yogurt and a splash of maple syrup.
INGREDIENTS
Serves four
6 Large organic apples
1 tbsp Coconut oil
1 tspn Grated fresh ginger
1/2 tsp Ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp Ground Cardamon
4 Cloves crushed or ground
1 Star Anise
1 Pinch cayenne pepper
2 Tbsp Pumpkin seeds
400 or 500gm Pot of Probiotic Sheeps Yogurt
Maple syrup to taste.
PREPARATION
First toast the pumpkin seeds in a frying pan until they've cracked and turned golden. Then place in a separate dish to one side.
Cut the apples and place them in a frying pan with the coconut oil and spices and fry until soft and golden.
