Slow Hatha Flow
Tamsin has been teaching yoga for over 12 years, offering retreats, workshops, and weekly classes. She completed her 500-hour teacher training in 2012 with the ‘Sivananda Yoga Vidya Peetham’ in Kerala, under the guidance of Swami Govindananda Saraswati. The Sivananda tradition emphasizes a holistic approach to well-being, focusing on breathwork, postures, nutrition, positive thinking, and guided relaxation.
Her signature 75-minute yoga practice includes 15 minutes of breathwork, 50 minutes of asanas (featuring three sun salutations and three key poses), and concludes with guided relaxation. This steady practice is designed to release deep-held stress, balance the nervous system, and create a sense of calm for both the mind and emotions.
With regular practice, you can expect to build physical strength, encourage weight loss, improve sleep, reduce stress, and alleviate depression—fostering a positive outlook and a greater sense of well-being.
Over time, this approach helps develop willpower, deepen intuition, and bring positive changes to your relationships, time management and its simplicity encourages you to feel confident in developing your self-practice.
Yin Yoga
Yin yoga is a deeply contemplative practice that works the body at its core through passive, long-held poses. Unlike Yang practices, such as Hatha yoga, which primarily target the muscles, Yin yoga focuses on the body’s connective tissues—ligaments, joints, bones, and the deep fascia networks, including the meridians.
From an energetic perspective, Yin yoga enhances the flow of energy, or chi, strengthening circulation and supporting the health of vital organs. Since true well-being depends on both healthy organs and muscles, Yin yoga complements more dynamic styles beautifully. It also provides significant emotional and mental benefits, promoting balance and inner calm.
A typical Yin yoga class includes supportive props and poses practiced primarily in seated or lying positions, creating a gentle, restorative experience suitable for all levels.
